Blue Crayfish

Can anyone tell me what the signs are when blue crayfish are getting ready to breed?
The female seems to be building a nest, but I am not quite sure, and at times she is curling her tail alot but there is nothing there yet. Is there anything you need to do to the water to get them to breed?

After a quick search I believe this is what I have.

I know that mine(not what you have) become more reclusive and start to find a remote area to hide in.
Once they are berried they stay hidden until after the clutch is hatched.

Species only tank, if you havnt done that yet. if you have you are on the right track. Plenty of live plants like anacharis works well. they also eat it.

There are other fish in the tank, mainly rainbows, and few other com fish, plus two red tail black shark. Its just intresting we don't care ether way, but I think it would be very exciting to see a batch come out of this tank.

She shed and all the Blue lobsters I had were gone. It took the fish almost a year to figure out how to eat the lobsters, but once they did it was all over.

Why are you keeping two red tailed sharks together? You do know that these fish will become increasingly agressive towards each other as they mature and end up killing each other if one isn't removed?
