Hey all. Could i plz get some info on the blue dolphins and malawi eye biters, to me they both seem interesting. But could they survive happily in a 6 foot tank, between 100 to 125 gallon.
Or could someone recommend ellegant cichlids like these for me plz. Send a private msg

i have a moori in a 6 foot community and he is fine. usually hangs out instead of swimming around all day, but that is PLENTY of room for one and a compressiceps as well. what else are thinking of throwing in with them?

I have a blue dolphin I picked up a few weeks ago in with my Fronts, he is doing just fine!

they should be fine together, the tank size is very good! what other haps do you have in mind?

Both. And I would say that in the long run you will like the Dimidiochromis compressiceps better. And just to chime in with blatch's comment... watch out with mixing. In the long I have had problems with mixing fronts. (And just watch sizes of fish you put with the haps, since you will have plenty of room for more fish that the two types in a 6ft long tank.)

I have a group of 7 dolphins with 1m6f red empress and a group of red flush peacocks in a 6' 126g tank. The dolphins are always on the move and its a crazy busy tank!

I've got three 6" male blue dolphins and a 6" D.Strigatus (closely related to eye biter) in my six footer with Red fin kadangos, S.freyeri and 18 fronts. Doing ok for now.

the hubby ^ and i are going to do this mix soon too. IMO they both seem to have the same temperment. I had a moori in a quarntine tank that was much smaller than what u have with an eye biter and they seemed to get along fine so i can imagine in a large tank like that it would be even beter.
