Our dolphins spawned a few days ago and my wife has stripped her of her eggs and they are in our bubbling setup. Just wondering who else has them and how they keep them. Ours are in a 5ft 150 with our rostratus we have 6 rostratus and 4 dolphins in the tank witha rock cave setup in the corner. The tank is filtered by a fx5 has 2 airstones and a 250 watt heater try to keep it at about 78 degrees. What are your thoughts.

6 fossies inna 5' tank is prolly a bit much. We have 4 inna 6' 210 gallon and that is tight confines. Two of ours are 12" ± and can get a tad messy.

We have two dolphins and they are the slowest growers for sure. Almost three years now and one is 6"-7" and the other 4"-5". We started out with four but lost two to stress induced bloat.

Good luck with your fry.

That is what I am thinking about the fossies have plans for them they range in size now from 6 to 10 inches and the dolphins are 3 to 5. Do you have much sand in the bottom of your fossie tank?

I strip my female dolphins at 14 days & the fry are fully developed . If you can keep track of the first day your females are holding & strip at 14 days you should have fry & not eggs. lol on your eggs hatching. I keep my dolphins in a 6' 150 gallon tank at 80 degrees with other haps & peacocks. My filtration is 1 fluval fx5 & 2 Aquaclear 110 HOB filters & a Korrelia powerhead.

I keep a pair in my 120 with breeding success, but my main breeding pair are in the fishroom. Male is in a 29 and female is in a 20H. I pull the female and place her with male. 24 hours later I pull her and let her hold back in her tank. After she spits I move her out. Feed for another week or two and then put back with male.

You guys are having pretty good luck with them we managed to hatch 3 and they are swimming around in our tumbling tank. Is there much demand for them in your area because up here they go for around 40 bucks for a 2in. fish. would really like to raise enough to sell them to the lfs's. We have sold other types of fish to a few of the bigger ones. We are trying to setup a fish breeding and supply some of the lfs;s in our area.

Are they popular because you never read many forums on people having them. On a another subject was the frontosa sticky yours because that was great still working on getting our moba's to breed.

Oh my mistake, in our area they must be popular because they seem to hold their price and always some around.
