my blue dolpin was calm till lastnight after a feeding he went wild chaseing all my fish around. Heres my stock think i need to add more to lower aggression.
Its a 55g male show tank
1 wc frontosa 5"
1 lemon jake 4"
1 blue dolpin 4"
1 ahli 4"
1 electric yellow 4"
1 red empress 2"
1 gombe 2"
1 red jacob 1 1/2"
1 albino sunburst 1 1/2"

down the road you will have aggression issues....if not from now on... that's too many large, cichlids for a 55. The Frontosa can reach up to 12 -14 inches. The dolphin may be getting too aggressive/territorial and with that many in the tank, the will continue to harass everyone. I would thin out your stock if you want to keep the dolphin.

he was fine till lastnight. I had more fish in there at one point and he did fine

Blue dolphins are usually very peaceful. However, if they have the opportunity, they will show their dominance. He is just showing the others whos boss. If you add that female, expect it to get worse; unless one of your other fish decides to become "tank boss".

Which fish is he chasing? The smaller fish or all the fish? Add more hiding places for the smaller fish.

You can try adding more fish. I wouldn't expect him to get "better" unless there's a more aggressive species in their.

My 10 inch males were previously aggressive, until I added a few mbunas. Now the mbunas are the "boss".

Good luck and keep us updated

I got a video on youtube that i took on my phone that isnt that great but shows my setup. Youtube lilbabyemma08 and look at my latest video

As these fish reach maturity their aggressive nature will manifest itself. They got along fine as juveniles, most cichlids do.Its not from the food you fed him or him having a bad day.Its in his nature.Thats alot of big aggressive fish for a 55g.You can adjust the stock,or they will do it for you.;)

There all mostly mellow fish and on youtube u see ppl with tank stocked with alot more than i got and they do fine as long as they got good filters

I just had this happen yesterday and to be honest I am not sure if this is the problem or not but you may want to check on it.

I noticed all of my fish getting nasty towards each other, my tank is for the most part very mellow. I started testing all of my water parameters and found that the ph had dropped significantly. I added buffer to bring it back in range and with in 24 hours every one is chilled out again
