anyone ever heard of these. I found a few at walmart today and am thinking about getting one once I get that 33 gallon tank set up and ready to go. Will they eat my mollies or will they be fine together?

look up violet goby

you mollies in brachish? Dragon gobies have TINY throughts, wich means they can only eat tiny things. I feed mine frozen mysis. the dragon goby should be in brackish, and if all you got is mollies in the tank, then you are lucky because they can take ANY salinity, that means full salt, full fresh, and everywhere inbetween;)

I think they are neat little guys, very tough looking. But I havn't been able to keep them alive, i have managed to kill two of them. You really need a small sandy substrate and be willing to almost hand feed. They are filter feeders and have horrible eyesite, they love to hide. Make sure you really check them in the store, the ones i always see are sick, or sickly from shops that don't understand how to keep them. The first one i had died within 24 hours, and the second one i let a shop keep convince me to use calcium hermit crab/ reptile substrate, big mistake gave the little guy a horrible guy blockage and he passed away despite my efforts. They are dragon gobbies or violet gobbies

the mollies are currently in just regular water, how would I go about changing the type of water to get the mollies use to the brackish water, and then adding the goby?

Lots of mollies supposed to come from brackish water, but if you are worried about shock, then just put couple of tablespoons of artificial salt water salt every day for about 3-4 days and depending on the size of your tank. Also, java fern, java moss, and anubias supposed to be brackish water tolerant if you want plants.

add salt slowly...... adding a little more each week...make sure to check the salinaty
