I'm considering buying an 8" Blue Eyed Pleco, but would like to know if it will terrorize my 13" Tigrinus, and/or Clown loaches (4"-9".) Anybody with experience with this beauty? Thanks in advance!

Wow! How much is it going for and who is your source????? I doubt It will terrorize the clown loaches--they are too quick and have protective spikes. I have never kept a tigrinus so couldn't weigh in on that. Most plecos are only aggressive towards other plecos. Also, pleco have been known to suck on soft fish like rays, eels, and even discus.

How big is your tank? If it's > 100 g I don't think you will have any problems. Just make shure you have a lot of wood in there so both the tig and the panaque can have there own places to hide.

Back in the day (when they were like $20), I kept one for several years in a 55g with a breeding group of peacocks (for awhile) and then some severums and festivums. I think that there were also some pictus cats and Synodontis multipunctatus at various times. No issues with aggression of other fish toward the pleco or the pleco toward the other fish.

The blue eye basically hung out on the driftwood.

I wouldnt trust it with anything that lives on the bottom. 2 weeks ago mine went after and killed a newly placed 15in leichardti, completly descaled. They are kind of a pain to find tank mates because they are kind of aggressive for a pleco.
