How many baby 1"-2" blue gill can I put in a 45 gallon? Im getting a 180 gallon in a little less than a year.

Umm.. in my friends 120 gallon he has about 12+ 9" those sucks are awsome.. very agressive

So do you think I can keep 4 or 5?

Blue gill arent cold water.... I catch native fish here in florida and the lakes are 88+ easy.... 4-5 would be fine imho for maybe 5 months maybe a lil longer

the section is cold water AND native fish

I would think 4 bluegill would be ok for a 180 gal, you could always add some golden shiners (if they do not get eaten)

one is ok for a 45 gal
1? they are only 1"-2" big now and they will be moved into a 180 in 9 - 10 months

id say one or two is ok in a 45 for life. but if you moving them to a 180 i would say 3 or 4. but if you like a high stocked tank and you like eatin fish you could always get like 10 then when they are big eat 'em up. yummmmmmmy!!!!

i can easyly go down to my river 4 blocks away and go catch 2-3 walleye 5-10 blugill 1-5 cats and maybe a northern and cut em up and freeze them meat and eat maybe a little every other week.cuz im only 103 lbs 5'6 and 14 years old.and the dnr recommendes not much fish for me.but anyways i can go to the ricver and get fish and kill em but idk why but i to big of a heart to raise a little guy from a little free swimmer and make him notice whom i am and kinda get attched to him them one day ,B#$#H you gonna get eaten slice ,aquirt .cdasflk adkjfsdhf adjlhsdkl, then throw away the skin then put the fillet in the freezer, with a label swimmy the fish raised for 1" then went to 12".i would fell so bad. idk if other ppl are like me but you are prob thinkin what a pussy.but i love all of my cat dos and fish
