Has anyone purchased the larger size festae that are advertised on the site? If so, any details are appreciated.

I haven't but Eddie, the owner, is a personal friend. From what I've seen he does get quality stock. And as long as you are buying Amphilophus festae and not what most fish farmers and retailers are selling as Red Terror's (ex-Cichlasoma uropthalmus) I'm sure you will get what you are buying and be happy with your purchase.
well they are labeled as Nandopis festae on the site, that is wrong. Also they aren't amphilophus festae either. The correct name is ex-Cichlasoma festae.
i just ordered two larger males from Eddie.. I am anxious so if anyone else has pictures of these recent purchases I would love to see them
I wanted to let everyone know that I received my Festae from Blue Grass aquatics yesterday and I am thrilled.. I ordered Males, and he has the advertised as larger size and that is a very accurate description. I received two males that I would guess are 6+ inches and in pretty good shape. They are already displaying adult colors and well worth the 79.
