Blue Growth on Severum

iniridae severum has a blue growth on him that appeared about 3 days ago and i can't find anything on what it is.

any idea?

I've got to say I've never seen anything like that before. If the severum seems healthy I would just observe for awhile to see if it gets larger or shrinks.

I cannot find a single ****ing thing online about a random blue lump appearing on a fish's fin and it just popped up out of nowhere, he has also stopped eating since it appeared but im gonna throw some blood worms in the tank tonight to see if he eats that.

im kind of worried about him because i was going to move him into my big tank and i dont want him to have something that will spread to my other fish.

Yeah if he doesn't eat blood worms that might be more worrisome. I've looked as well on line and can't find a thing. Let us know if he eats the bloodworms.

best pics i can get i just put some marineland remedy in the tank to see if it helps havent fed yet will update when i have.

didnt eat blood worms he actively swam away from the chunk i put in there

i can't tell from the picture could be an abscess or infection. Could be infected with a secondary bacterial infection or from a parasite. Can you pull him out of the water to take a picture and put in a hospital tank?
