What is this stuff? If you want pictures just ask. Its a green/blue color that's growing on my sand bed, and I'm not really sure what it is....... I pulled up a bunch so the rest of it is short now, but it spreads FAST! Real fast, like an inch a day. Never heard of it or seen anything like it, and I've seen hydras, to bbb algae.

Hello; There is a type of algae called blue-green. I cannot recall much about it right now. The only thing that comes to mind is it may be common in cow pasture ponds but I am not sure about that.

The blue-green algae is cyanobacteria (sp?), a bacteria that use photosynthesis to get its energy, unfortunately that's about all I know of it. Well, that and its supposed to be a prick to get rid of...

It doesn't look like any of the cyanobacteria I've ever seen or googled. And about the cattle poisoning, yes I saw that on nsdu agriculture. It seems to grow on little "runners" across my sand bed, and its not on anything else, just the Sand bed for some reason.
