I was just wondering what all has been hybritized with a jack demsey? Any prefered sex the ebjd should be, m/f? Any chance in hell of it crossing with a blood parrot, or red devil?

I'm assuming the blood parrot would be less likely to work, and the parrot would have to be the female. What about a red devil though?

Any pictures of demsey hybrids, or suggestions from people having got this fish to cross breed are welcome.

i have had some ppl tell me, that even as adults BD's aren't fish that can take much of a beating. if i was to attempt this, i would try a less aggressive species first. then see how it goes. i highly doubt i would try a RD or anything like it truthfully. because it would be a real bummer to loose a nice size BD, unless your a BD master breeder. cause everyone i get, i seem to look at it wrong and it kills over...... and getting one to adulthood would be a accomplishment in itself. <-- Based on PERSONAL experience, and in no ways imply that all BD's are a troubled fish with life expectancy of squat.

gl hope it favors well with you :woot:

Yea I've also heard of them being quite fragile. I figured I would have to do it with a divider. I dont even have a demsey yet, I'm just thinking ahead. I imagine a pretty cool fish if I could get the blue to cross with something red.

Blue, red, mabey a little purple mixed in...
