My JD has a touch of red underneath,but in all other respects looks the same as the one above is this normal?

there are different races/variants of normal jack demspeys. some have a pinkish/red color on the "chest" region. in fact, I've seen some being sold as "red breasted dempseys" and that's all it was, a slight coloration difference. the seller was just trying to make them sound more exotic and rare than they really are.
