I have the oportunity to get a blue Line grouper and I am wondering how large it will grow

google searching...i found someone saying that a 100 gallon tank is a minimum due to it's size, but have not found an actual size yet. i'll keep looking

EDIT:: fourteen inches. this other site says a minimum of 125 gallons

this link [ http://www.aquariumdomain.com/viewSpeciesMarine.php?id=49 ] has a little information. i always search my fish and ask around on this site about compatibility and stuff before purchasing any fish

Yeah I like to reserch my fish aswell as you have seen my issues on finding much info on this fish. Thanks for the link tho I will read it any info is apriciated.

Good read gave me a lot of info thank you for the link anyone with experiance with these fish chim in any time.

Thanks canuke this one is shy to most people but I spend enoph time at lfs that it comes right up to me every time. Its more of a rescue than any thing they have him and a snowflake eel in a 20 long I have a spare 55 gal that I'm upgrdeing my salt to so I think he shuld be ok in there for a while.

no problem :] like i said, it's not much, but it's got a little. i enjoy learning about different fish and everything, so i figured if i've got the chance to read a little about a fish i don't know then i might as well do so while helping someone else out. good luck with him :]
