A query-I read somewhere that I shold be adding Iodine for my crayfish. Its a Blue Crayfish and eats well on frozen cockles, fish, prawn and Hikari Crab Cuisine. Its kept on its own. Should I be supplementing with Iodine? If so, how?
My boy has had it around 8 months now and its moulted 3-4 times.
Cheers ROB

I wouldn't worry about it. If it is molting then it is good. Just good water and good food is really all it needs. There is iodine in most fish and shellfish and if that is what it eats it is good. I have several of the blue crayfish and have had them for 3 yrs now and I don't add iodine and mine just scavage left over shrimp pellets and algae wafers.

I agree! Mine simply eat algae wafers and shrimp pellets and the occasional fish or two.

If you ever have any dead fish...bury its head into the substrate for collection.
