hey guys,, i was wonder if you guys prefer black or blue painted backgrounds for arowanas and MM stingrays! ,, and why?

I have by default, ended up with different backgrounds on different tanks, but prefer black, especially for taking photos. The blue always seems to me a bit artificial
Kind of fish doesn't matter, unless of course you were going for the open ocean kind of look, but neither of the fish you mention are open ocean fish.

Black is far better. Gives the tank a greater sense of depth and tends to bring up the fish's colour more aswell

Are you painting it ? If so just buy a back round from tour lfs usually have one side blue and one side black try both then decide
