Blue Oscar

Went into one of the LFS and the guy tells me he's getting a shipment of blue oscars in..1st time every hearing about it..are they dyed or is this a deformation like "EBJD"?
 
They look dyed... Like they just died the whites over...
 
Yeah, I've heard of these oscars before. They normally call them blueberry oscars and are just the albinos dyed blue. Don't support the dyeing of fish, don't buy them. Dyeing fish greatly shortens their life span and they lose their color in a month or so anyway. Its just sick what people would do to make a few bucks.
 
My lutino O that I recently lost :( was somewhat blue as a baby. Not like what you'd picture a dyed fish would be, but instead of the normal white of a lut he had a bluish tint...picture washing some white clothes with a brand new blue shirt, that's how my O was. It faded as he grew though and was gone by the time I lost him.
