My LFS had one today. It was about $30 and close to 4". Is this a good deal?
What are the requirements of keeping these badboys? Any and all info is appreciated:)
Thanks in advance

sounds like a b day present if you ask me a hint for your wife.
I'll have to get a wife first

$30 is a good buy. They run about that price all over the 'net then, you have to add in shipping. Make sure it's a blue panaque first. Some darker panaques have been sold as blues when they weren't. Take a pocket flashlight to the store with you and shine it on the panaque. The blue highlights really stand out with a front light.

got some blue pleco for sale but i don't ship. :( they are not hard to keep... the only bad experience i had was when i was too stupid to put new water and did not drip the water to slowly adjust the temp. besided that.. they are not very sturdy but not also too sensitive. just in the middle. :) they eat frozen worms. :)

These guys are IMO some of the coolest plecos to keep. They are very active, and when you keep them in groups even as small as 2 you will see a lot of interaction, not fighting. I had two recently, but one got eaten by a marble cat... sucky loss, but before the one got chomped they were absolutely awesome fish to keep. Mine were $40 a piece, but didn't have shipping costs, and were approx. 4.5". They don't grow fast at all, and are really quick to take the food. When I through algae wafers, lettuce, cucumber, carrots, or just about any other veggie they are right there eating in seconds. Just an all around beautiful pleco to keep.
