I am looking into purchasing a BP Pleco, however, I am not fully sure how much they go for. I saw one a while back, was a beautiful deep blue male for $80. I wanted to know how much you guys paid for yours.

Yeah 30 to 40 isnt bad at all.

I saw wild green phantoms on a YT vid, those were really nice

i just picked up a really nice bp for 60$. but the only thing i can say about price is it is worth what you are willing to pay for it. i love the way mine looks so i payed what was asked. i will always pay the extra money for something i can see in person rather than some pic that you dont really even know is what your gitting or just the best fish the company had in there breeding program. in my eyes if you love it there is no such thing as over paying:)

I strongly disagree. Some places can easily charge double for something and whos to say its of good quality. Lets say instead of 60 he was 120, or even 150, would you still be willing to pay that much for the fish? Personally I would wait until I find one at a fair price. Ive seen fish over priced. Things that clearly are not worth that much. Prime example, 2 bucks for a neon tetra, I saw them at one store for $.99 a piece. (No they were not cardinals, I know the difference) For some places its quantity over quality and its a shame.

i both agree and disagree with you. there is a point of being retardedly overpriced. but you could say that about alot of fish best example is sb fish. 7 years ago i picked up a sb channel cat for 5$ because no one wanted it because of its defect and know im seeing sb fish going for 3 times plus the normal price because of the defect. so i say your right in the fact that some are retardedly priced but wrong on if the fish is health and thay want a little more because of its color/pattern it is a fair trade off for something you love and want.
