blue/pink aro

hey I was just wondering, my aro is about 9 months now, hes about 8 inches and healthy. But there is one thing that gets me is that he has a blue head and is pink from just behind his gills to his tail.
From what I have found out is that they usualy out grow their blue and pink at about 6 inches. Oh I should mention he is or was sold as a silver arowana.
Is this common, for him to still have his blue and pink?

I brought a silver aro 2day and 3 hours later he was dead, I gave it to my neighboor to hold for me (check my last threat and you will no y) and two hours ago I went over to his house only to find out he fought my neighboors Red Devil and he died from the fight.

I think this is what he's describing. blue towards the head and pink or red towards the tail
