I currently have one female. I'm contemplating breeding some in the future. Would one male to two females be sufficient? How easy are they to breed???

As long as you have soft acidic water about 27 degrees they will breed and 1 male to 1 female will be fine but 2 female would increase your chances of success.

i always thought the 3 female to one male would be most efficient. After the male is finished with one female it often moves on to a new one, giving you more fry;)

If you just have one female, I would go with one male. I never had any problems getting individual pairs to spawn.

True… I bought only 2…

In a few weeks BAM… they spawned. I have quiet a few fish in the tank with them so they don’t survive. I am working on a new tank so they can have the tank all to them selves…

I got lucky in buying a female and a male at the same time. And yes they will breed... (A lot). I think they should be called rabbits. These two don’t quiet. Good luck with yours
