Does anyone have pics of blue red devils or really red Labs. with enlarged lips that they are keeping. I'm just curious, they were all over the place in fish stores in the early 90's in the tri-state and I don't see them anymore so I'm wondering If anyone is keeping them or what happened to them.

never heard of blue red devils but sounds like a fish that was dyed blue like oscars are nowadays, very sad practice

the Barred varity of Amphilophus Labiatus are sometimes called Blue Devils. (That's Better)

THEY ARE NOT DYED OR BARRED, VERY NUETRAL COLOR OF BLUE, IVE SEEN MANY OF THEM , JUST NOT IN LAST TEN YEARS.

dude you could have said that just as easily NOT IN ALL CAPS

Yeah, I think we just got yelled at! Ok I'm done.

 Just don't suggest they could be dyed or barred again.

its not like its a crazy off the wall suggestion, there are fish that are dyed so to someone who has never seen them or heard of "blue devils", when i hear of a random blue fish i just have to wonder if thats what has been done if not then GREAT, its always cool to see the different color morphs out there

I never seen or heard of blue devils, been keeping fish for 30 years.

Some of the wild import labs still have the lips, but usually not for long.
