The other day i tired a different approach to changing water and put the aquarium conditioning salt straight into the tank. Today i realised that a few of my rocks are blue ...and the aquarium conditioning salt is most probably the culprit. So im wondering if the blue on the rocks will go away over time or is it permanant?

If you are talking about just regular aquarium salt, I don't think that it would cause your rocks to turn blue. Some ich treatments will stain things but salt shouldn't. What color are your rocks? You should take out one or two and scrub it down and see if the color comes off....that is the only thing I could think of. Just don't use any soap or any other non-fish safe cleaner.

oh, then I have no clue :(

what kind of substrate do you have? could just be a cheap kind and the color rubbed off to blue. other than that I have no clue.

My new coral chunks turned blue as well after I added conditioning salt.. The salt turns the water blue & I think it might have stained the cc.. Strangely, my older cc wasn't affected.. only the new ones I put in turn blue..
