Hi there, my tank is curently unstocked, and ready for some fish, its 250 gallon tank and has 2 30" sumps underneath, its also plumbed into 2 24" tanks which sit either side of the 8 footer, one has a few hermits and a Starfish the other will be home to some clownfish.

in the 8 footer ive been thinking abut keeping a blue spotted ribbontail stingray or a bamboo shark, just thought id ask you your thoughts:)

cheers james

you could keep a smaller one in there for awhile, I've found they are not all that active like my round rays. Mine seems to sit in one place for long periods of time, but maybe others dont. Other will chime in on this

cheers mate, what would be the best ray suitable for a tank this size? have been thinking of upgradeing in the near future to a 30" wide tank and 10 foot across:)

you said 8 feet long, but how wide is it? In my opinion I would have only 1 ray of any kind in there as long as it small and then not for life. A round ray can reach 23" in length so if its a 2' wide tank thats too small. If you can get ahold of some 3" wide pups you could have them for a year maybe.
