So a couple days ago I got my hands on a Vontehillo Texas, the first evening he was fine with the exception of my black nasty and him bumping bodies, bothbare the same size 1.5 inchs...the next morning he was in a cave and hasn't come out since...I moved the cave to see if he was wounded but all was fine...I tested my water and all of that was fine too...I'm just worried cause he hasn't been eating going on day 3

Give it more time. It took mine about 3 weeks before it started eating and my carpentis is close to 6 inches. I think your fish is still adjusting to new surroundings. GL and keep us updated.

Maybe he's stressed and scared?

So its good to hear he can go that long without eating...I think the haitiensis has him scared...

If you see white/clear feces that's a problem, he should eat within the first 2-3 days at the most if he's not eating after that id try putting food in front of his cave, if he's small he's more than likely shy, carpintis usually start to come out of there shell around 3-4"

Well I come home n he is out the cave but your right he does have white feces but at the sametime him n my black nasty both have a small case off ick...I have meds for both already...what do I treat first??

What I would do is turn heat up to 83-84. Add some epsome salt, and watch it close for a few days.

Meds can sometime have a bad effect on stressed fish. Just my point of view, not knowing every little detail.
good luck
