Blue Tongued Skink: Head Rub?

I went to feed my BTS and he had a bit of aspen on his head. I brushed it off and he has markings that look kind of like head rub on a snake. I will post pictures soon. Is it possible he has head rub or something to do with the aspen? And how should I treat it?

Yeah, it's healing already. Pretty tough animals

When it sheds next, make sure its head and face are really ready to come of if you ever decide to assist. Best if they can do it alone, sometimes you need to help, but if the slightest rub dosnt take it off, give it more time. Learned that the hard way.
