The blue whale I bought the other day has been swimming in place and around the glass the same way it was at the store but occasionally swims around the bottom and middle but the store said it was because they like to be in a current. My lower head won’t get here until Monday but I’m going to be setting it up as soon as it gets delivered (didn’t go buy one at a store cause I knew I’d be busy the next couple days). But I don’t think he’s eating enough. Is this because of lack of current? The temperature is about 77° at all times. When I put a bit of tilapia in the tank it takes him about 30 seconds to realize that there’s food but then he darts to it in the blink of an eye and for the nest 5-10 seconds he’s spinning in the middle of the tank with the tilapia in its mouth but I’m not 100% sure that he’s eating it I’m able to tell that his teeth was ripping it up but don’t see much meat if any missing. Also tried pellets and he grabbed one but I don’t know what happened to it. I didn’t see him swallow it spit it out or chew it up it was just in his mouth 1 second and gone the next. Can’t find much information online about these guys so I’m here as a last resort and I’ve also messaged a few people on Instagram that have kept the species before but no replies. The exact species is cetopsis ceocutien

Can’t help with this species but I can bump it for you.

It’s still new to the tank and maybe adjusting. Seen these things eat with and without current. I’d check it’s belly (see if it’s full) and keep watch for eating. Keep ur water clean and be patient.
