I dont have a bristlenose plecos but may get some next month and try to breed them.
I have some questions about them.
What size do BN plecos have to be to reproduce?
From eggs, How long does it take to get them to the size needed to reproduce?
Do the fry need different food?
How deep and wide should the cave be to spawn in?
Any other advice?

fry dont need different food, my friend bred the longfin albino bristlenose pleco, all he fed them was the algae wafers, and although he had them in his 90g pond in the summer, his BN plecos bred in his 10 gallon take. the cave wasnt very large.

Not all Bn are the same but generally they can breed from 7-8cm, as they get bigger the amount of eggs produced by the females will increase. Getting them to this size all depends on the conditions they are kept in, water, crowding, quality and quantity of food etc. They can get to size and breed around 12months. After the fry consume the yolk sac they will start grazing. Wafers fresh vegetables and algae are all that is needed. Saying that it depends on the type of BN you have as some species, eg. Medusa, tend to prefer a more carnivorous diet. Caves down't need to be round and I find an Oval or half circle better. I would suggest that you add a few different caves and let the male choose which one he prefers. Rule of thumb for me is width of plec + 10mm for cave width. It should also be able to accommodate the full length of his body.
Get yourself a Frysaver, Young males may kick the eggs out of the cave by mistake.
