Bocourti and Breidohri

Hey Jason, do you think the bocourti is a male or female? I'm having trouble sexing this fish. I have another bocourti in another tank. Thought i had a pair but they fought so much i split them up.
judging by that alone it sounds like they were both male. I've never kept bocourti but have always heard they are rather peaceful. conspecific males however (as with any cichlid species) will figh tover territory so it sounds like that's what you saw.

Thats what i thought but lately it seems like the Bocourti and the Breidohri above are doing some sort of breeding thing and i just always assumed that my breidohri was a male.
