Is Bocourti cichlid a big comunity fish? I am asking because I was told in the past (literture including) that quite a few cichlids eg synspilium , salvini, jack dempsey etc were good eg of cichlids one could keep in a community setup. Apart from my Baysnooks, jewel and Frontosa my plans have always failed. I have a chance to buy a stunning B but the only space I have is in my large tank with other large fish and in the long run I don't think its like my dovii, umbei or festa that is spectacular enough to warrant a tank and workload of thier own.

Thanks guys

i'd probably add it with bigger cichlids if you have the tank space.
like a pearsei midas synspilum and stuff like that.

i wanna get one in a few months if i don't carry out on otha plizans.

To my understanding they have the same temperament as a Pearsei. Not an aggressor but wont take any thrashings.

Totally try it! Bocourti's are sweet!

I have two that are only around 4"-5" and they are pretty passive. Not as passive as my Pearsi though. I haven't noticed any aggression at all from them, but I have seen them stand up for themselves. My pearsi is so passive that he won't even stand up for himself with smaller fish.

What size tank i it to go in... Not the tank the arowana was in...
