Body height and thickness

Been tempted several times to give my 180g to a single Jardinii.

Has anyone else noticed that Jar's and Asians seem to have a higher body than Silvers and Blacks.

Or is this just an optical illusion do to the body shape?

I definitely agree. Proportionatly, my jar is MUCH thicker than my silver...as well as taller.

That's one of the main reasons why I think Jars need to get into bigger tanks sooner than silvers do..they lose a lot of their flexability when they gain all that girth. My Jar is like a tank when he's swimming around...won't even get out of the way of filter intakes...just smashes them off.

Asian aros and Aussie aros have taller and thicker bodies than silvers and blacks.

I would say that it is one of the most noticeable traits and distinctions between aussies and asians, on the one hand, and south-americans on the other...
