Nice Flowerhorns. The SRD looks similar to mines, but mine is only 3 inches.Every flowerhorn is a mix strain of some sort. Some are line bred for 2 flower lines and some only have 1. A breeder can call a flowerhorn whatever they want really. I bought my male "super red dragon" who has 2 rows. He's about 6". I also picked up a little "red magma" (as you can see this guy has little to no red on him and he only has 1 line. He's around 2". Every flowerhorn is going to be unique. That's the neat thing about hybrids.

High aggression and a assertive response to you are signs of a quality flowerhorn. The coloring and plums/flower markings on him are really awesome looking as well. He or She is digging to establish territory. Ive had males that started digging pits and moving rocks around within 30 mins of arriving in my tank after being in a bucket for 3 hours during transport. Keep posting picks of him/her as I would love to watch what he/she develops into.Update on this guy. I moved him from the bottom tank, to the top tank. He started not eating as much, as he did when I got him a week ago, but then began to eat more on the 3rd/4th day. I figure because of the move.
He started to show a but of aggression. Flares and dance around like a betta when I get close to his tank. He has been doing a lot of digging the gravel also. This is my first flowerhorn, so I'll see how things change as he gets older.
