I bought some tetras the other day. A few fish in the tank had what looks like body rot where part of the tail would turn white. The fish I got all looked good I have had them for 4 days now and everyday I see a little bit of this rot on the fish. One fish came down with mouth rot and died. the other had the tail rot. They are in a 20 gal QT tank I have been checking the water and Its all good. They still eat and swim around not nothing is worng then come down with this white body. I also have a BN pleco in the tank who seems to be fine.

Ammonia 0
nitrates 10
nitrites 0
ph 7.5

I have been doing daily wc but they are still getting this white body NOT fuzzy or anything. I'm treating with Jungle Fungus clear because thats what I had.

I don't know what to do with this. will they all die?

Continue what your doing. IF your med isn't working, your going to try and find another. Try Maroxy. Have had good results. If you feel adventurous, can try Potassium Permanganate. Make into paste and apply to affected area.

Well I'm sure it's Columnaris Disease after looking it up in my handbook for fish disease. I lost 2 more but I did a huge wc and I'm treating with maraycn and I think this will safe the rest.

I'm so mad that I did not do this sooner. Fingers crossed that I don't lose any more. Talk about a bad batch of fish.
