I just saw this last week with my wife and well... I really don't know what to think.
My wife can appreciate it because she's a Nurse and seeing the human anatomy in that setting is very educational for her profession.

I can appreciate the science and educational value that it presents. But at the same time just doesn't seem right?

What do you guys think?

Are you talking about the exhibit with the preserved human bodies?

If so, Ive thought about taking my wife. She is a nursing student, but honestly I dont think I can handle it. I can clean a fish and field dress a deer, but I cant handle the whole dead people thing. It seems wrong to me in a way too. Yes a display like that is at home in a scientific learning institution but I dont think corpses should be paraded around to make a buck.

See, I feel the same as you. However it was really interesting to see the human body preserved in this fashion? It actually looked fake but it was the real deal.

It looks fake because they are plasticized ( have their flesh replaced by plastics) I don;t see anything wrong about it, the people sign a waver to be preserved in that fashion.

they have a simillar exhibit here in vegas called BODIES, there was a big thing where they were getting sued for using asian prisoners bodies or somethin like that.

There was a whole story about the doner issue. Most are that of European decent and it's basically bodies that were not claimed in a 30 day period. In addition, there was a place in Russia that was trying to smuggle bodies to Germany for this. Why smuggle when the body's are doners and have a waiver that was signed?

I haven't seen this, they had an exhibit here a few months ago called "Bodies Revealed" or something like that and I really wanted to go, but couldn't fit it in the schedule. I don't see anything wrong with it, I think it's fascinating! If these individuals were noted donors, and their bodies were not claimed by any next of kin, or close friend, they would have been donated to a local med-school lab for cadaver dissections anyhow. This allows the public to see what their bodies look like from the inside out, and takes HS Biology/Anatomy Class to the next level. I think it would be really cool.
