Well as some of you may know i sold my rays on due to several different reasons and working with them all the time doesnt make it any easier not having them and yesterday i lost my cichla out of a 6x2x2 which is basically his tank and ive been depressed a bit about it and i wanted another 'pet' fish for in there and ive had my eyes on this marble motoro for months at work and ive been watching him develop and hes not the bets looking marble ever but is more than good enough for me as ive always said to myself that id be happy with just a nice marble, not bothered about black rays and all that.

Well ive got to take a few fish back upto work to make room like a few big silver sharks and a few cichlids and cats. Which im swapping over so he'll have a 6x2x2 for him and a few big barbs as company and to add to the tank to help justify it to my parents. i'll hopefully be fetching him home on friday as im busy tommorrow and i want to do a 50% waterchange before i put him in, you know just to freshen the tank up. Its not 100% certain as ive just gotta convince my mum to let me have him lol. but too excited so i thought id tell you guys anyway. Heres a few terrible pix, hes much better in the flash, for some reason these tanks look green due to the flash.

Also are they called potamotrygon boesemani now?

It doesn't matter the quality as long as it's special to you :) and IMO thats an awesome ray. GL with your mom lol

thanx hes around 11-12" disc, not the biggest ray that i will have kept but the biggest male. Hes full mature when we firts got him and another male marble they kept trying to get our constellata pregant lol
 
lookin good boggy!!! you need to just tell your mom ur getting a great deal lol.. thats what i tell my boyfriend :)

Oh i have lol, cos it works out free lol, (well its not cos ive gotta trade fish but you know what i mena lol)

The fish im swapping are a few nice bits but so is this guy and ive enjoyed em :) Shes still not sure yet cos she thinks ill just get rid of him again but it was under different circumstances before.
 
Tell her at least you aren't adding another tank.:)
 
This would be a good way to introduce your new brother to the joys of Ray Keeping. You want to start him off right.;)

My aunt and uncle have been around with their young grandson, whos about 18months old and hes been watching all my fish he loves em, has some goldfish at his home lol.... i kept saying to my mum, i bet he would love to see a stingray lol cos he likes my mbu and lungfish lol
