Bogus Gar Info

So if anyone has the Feb. 2007 issue of Aquarium Fish yet, open up to page 20. The author says that alligator gars grow 24 to 30 inches.
Also you can keep 2-3 alligator gars in a 80 gallon tank

I saw that the other day an ment to bring it up. I am no expert in gars by far, but is there another gar they are reffering to, what is that one in the picture for the article?
