I read on another site that bog wood in brackish water can give off hydrogen sulphide (rotten egg smell). I was wondering if anyone had ever experienced this, or any other problems with bogwood and salt.
 
I don't know if that would be true, if it did that it should do that in FW too. It could be that they had a deepsand bed that didn't get stirred up. I say as long as it isn't too think, or cover too much sand that doesn't get moved it would be OK. If it is a larger piece, just move it and stir the sand every week.
