I woke up this morning and discovered that my Bolivian Ram had a quite large chunk taken out of his body between his dorsal fin and tail. Not sure what really did it but my main concern is getting it back to its original healthy state. At the moment, I have him in a large, clear bowl with a lid inside the tank to seperate him from whoever is attacking him. I do have a 20 gallon but I don't have the time to set it up and I have no where to put it. He is alive and is not breathing too fast and can swim fine. Any suggestions on what to do? Im just scared he wont eat or get any better.

If it’s a clean bite then just salt and clean water is enough.

Salt 1 tsp per gallon, one time.

Thank you so much. Luckily I have some salt so hopefully he'll get better soon. Blood Worms for food is ok?

Would suggest a flake or pellet. Bloodworms aren’t really nutritious.

I suggest you remove the aggressor or rehome the Bolivian Ram because they can't defend themselves against the more aggressive CA or African Cichlids.
