Just picked up one. Currently housed by itself. Just wondering if they like current or not. Also, I keep my tanks relatively cool, so what would be an ideal temperature for it?

I guess not too much current but some should be ok

FH do best in 85-88 degree tanks

you talking about power head current or just plain ole filter currents (like from a canister or HOB filter)?

Tank is a 40g cube with a XP3. Temp is at 82-85F. Trying to get him to eat gran sumo, but still a little scared to goto the surface...maybe because spray bar is pushing alot of current at surface?

Also, I'm changing out the gravel for a lighter color, but tank has a black back. Will his color be affected negatively by the dark background?
