I've been searching for a good cichlid book but I'm strictly looking only for central and South American cichlid books!!! I've only seen book reviews for African cichlids and its not what I'm looking for, so I'm asking the MFK community to help me out with some books that they have first hand. I want a book with tons of pics and a full description of every species with details lol. But I say it again only central and South American cichlid books please!!! If you can find them Tetra has some nice cichlid books and there is The Most Complete Lexicon of Cichlids..pricey but it probably has photos and at least a little info of most known cichlids.

Check amazon.com books. Type cichlid in the search line and you'll find 55 pages of cichlid titles. There are a dozen books in the first 6 pages of titles that center on central and s. american cichlids.
