Boosting the life cycle !!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yep, do it to all new/recently medicated tanks. Squeezing out filter gunk from an established tank is a great way to speedup a cycle. I'd not put my main tanks filter IN the hospital tank, since it might transfer disease.

Well that is what I did the water went cloudy for a day but now it's all clear

I did a water change used the water from my established tank on day 3 and it's been running now 5 days

The fish has been inside for 3 days but now he wownt eat

Any advice

I use ceramic rings for my bio media and I use much, much more than is necessary. So, when I need to set up a hospital or quarantine tank, I just grab a few handfuls of the ceramic rings and place them into a filter of a newly set-up QT/HT.......instant cycle

Also, some people keep a sponge filter in a running tank just for this purpose. They just transfer the SF to the newly set-up tank and its good to go.

He has popeye that's why he is in the ht. One eye is swollen the other is ok.

Shall I just put him back into the main tank. ??

Maybe he isn't eating cuz the ht is only 60 litters and he is used to a 350 litter tank
