Ok guys this is my new 90litre tank... my first tank so my decorations suck i know... could you guys please please please give me tips on how i can improve this! I want it to be bright so my FH and other fish stand out, please give pics of things i could add so i can find em when buying!

I would start by getting a backround, losing the ship, and getting some drift wood along with some neat rocks

ok i cant use 3d backrounds now since they need to be used from inside.. ok awesome, could u give me an example of what type of rocks or sizes i shud be lookin at? and im thinkin mangrove roots?

Whatever you can get to sink that wont harm your plants or fish really.

Rocks you have to worry about having toxins or increasing hardness, with the wood its mainly just the toxins.

Anything at an LFS that suits your fancy, otherwise I think there are some people on here that sell manzinita driftwood...but you would have to find one out your way.

I dont know what sort of substrate you have, but it looks like I might change that along with the decoration and adding a background if it was me. Plain colored backgrouds are better in the long-run if you are serious about the planted tank business I find.

def a background. an driftwood always is nice in a planted tank

I agree with the plain background. I would go for the plain blue adhesive sheet stuff. It sticks right on the outside. Also good call on loosing the ship. I tried playing around with the little tank doodads for a while and have found that natural decorations like driftwood and rocks definitely look better.

Could u give me a link on where i cud buy sometin like that? Im not really sure how it looks like.

Any pet store will have the adhesive background sheets. Lots of times they have it on rolls and just cut the length you need. They also normally have various pieces of driftwood. More interesting pieces require a bit of searching. Keep an eye on the MFK classifieds.

you have done a good job there is no right or wrong way to set up a tank its personal choice you are the one that will be enjoying the aesthetic .
But i personally would loose the ship for a nice piece of mopani or driftwood.

Good post, and this is true.

What matters most is that it keeps your animals happy.

What matters second most is that you like it.
