i got a yellow lab in my Tang tank and she looks like she's holding. i havent feed in a few days so she cant be carrying food around. only think i can guess is the redfin borleyi did it. they are the only two malawis in that tank. is it likely?

nobody? this is frickin MFK! no question should go unanswered here! im very disappointed

can't I go for a walk...

anyways... I doubt anyone did anything... I have had fish hold without a male... she may try to mate with the other fish and then end up holding the eggs for a bit... my "blue dolphin" does it at times..

no, you cant go for a walk! thats healthy!! i was hoping they were 'dead eggs' after the y-lab and auratus did their thing in my 75, i dont want to do the baby thing again. my wife wanted to save all the babies.

As was said likely not fertile eggs. I highly doubt that they can cross, but you never know. You will know in less than a week. (IE she will either stop holding or she wont.)

she may hold longer... I have had fish hold for almost term and then have nothing... they want a baby like a 35 year old single women, but not man will touch them...(not that anything is wrong with them)

Huh that is odd, since the eggs should have gone bad much sooner then that. (IE fungus and such).

as long as i dont have more babies. the only think in my tank allowed to reproduce are the frontosa
