I don't know the max size and looked all over the internet. .. so far no luck

i found that link, in that thread there are links to pics of another member here with one 15" back in 2010. they look really cool.

Go for it. I've had mine for a little over a year. I did get the eel with out knowing much about it. Mine will only eat night crawlers. You don't see them that often.
