hi there
caused by amonia spike, sudden stocking of tank... fighting fish,
toxins spiked
then noticed itching of the fish
twitching of fins, seemingly shuddering and shaking of body and fins, mouth, and scratching on gravel

i been told, water changes, get the bio filtration right, and melafix to help heal wounds from scratching.

what should i do
melafix? no melafix?
water changes, both?
or all of everything

some say melafix do more harm than good.
how is this possible? its a huge product, every quarium shop sells it.
guarantees that it does not harm beneficial bacterias

ok,
yeah cos someone said it coudl do more harm
thats impossible
its like putting stress zyme or something in there
a product cannot reach a state of this hugeness if its bull****

but anyways, i have heaps of it
so using it wont harm it then

what can i do about the itching, i have never seen this

Keep an eye out, fish will sometimes do this if they are about to get, or have ich.

man!
i am worried!
they were doing os much better
this morning
lethargic again!
and more itching
so i changed water

and i switched and very established fx5 to that tank and put its filters to the jardinii tank whcih is extremely established.

hope that works
someone said i should jsut take out all the water entirely. then start again.

any suggestion, if i do that and in theory, all the amonia will go away
and start fresh
should i do this?
or just leave it and have a little faith?

Depending on water parameters a 100% water change could cause additional shock to the fish. Safer to do 50% daily. Depends on how critical the levels of ammonia have got. Adding the established FX5 should help a lot.

I would stop feeding for a couple of days at least, and don't forget to keep an eye on the ammonia level in the Jardini tank now too.

Next time your at the LFS you might want to pick up a box of Ammo Chips, they're always nice to have on hand. They look like little pieces of gravel and will absorb ammonia from the tank. You can simply pour them in a cloth sack and hang them in the tank if ammonia ever spikes again.
