I have just scored a small shoal of 6 of these guys (well, pick up tuesday) and the behavior thoughts are scattered, some say aggressive like skunks and Modestas, some say they can join my Yoyo's and Kubotai...

I read the profile section and I have 3 tanks with loaches,

220-Modestas
75-Yoyo's, Kubotai
30-Skunks

What would the best place be? Should I move the skunks with the Modestas? The queens are right on that line...

Thoughts and experences please!

I have darios w. clowns, yoyos, striatas and angelicus. They are doing just fine. Are not aggressive at all. Darios are not considered aggressive, espeically compared to skunks and modestas.

I'd put Queens with the Kubotais. Treat those Queens, they always have parasites.

My Yoyo's and Kubotai have been together for a while, still ok to add the Queens to that mix?

The queens have been in home aquaria for weeks now, (not mine) still treat? and if so, with what?

all loaches have parasites in their body naturally, especially the botia species. If the loach is healthy it will always keep the parasite from taking over.

Nuth, keep the darios with the kubs and yoyos. They should be fine. You can mix the skunks with the modestas. Skunks are nasty little devils and can take care of themselves fine with large aggressive loaches such as modestas and tiger loaches so you have an option to put the darios in a 75g or a 30g (minus the skunks).

Thanks Folks! That give me plenty of options! I may just move the skunks to the big tank with the Modestas, and give the Darios the 30 to themselves, leaving me more room in the 75 for more Yoyo's, Kubotai, and (soon) Straita.....

Awesome!
