I've been reading a lot of threads on different forums relating to this loach. Seems everyone has had a problem or related their demise to a parasite? Has anyone ever determined which parasite was in question? What meds are you using in the qt tank and why?

I've got a line on a few plump indivduals at a reasonable cost however I want to make sure I'm not spreading or introducing anything in my loach tanks

Internal parasites are never easily determined unless you have the necessary tools for autopsies. They're mostly wild caught specimens. Use levamisole hydrochloride, fenbendazole or flubendazole and cross your fingers they'll pull through better than any loach species I tried. B. kubotai are the worst I tried but it's just my experience. Quarantine for four weeks by the way and gear them up with protein based foods. Good luck.

Thanks for the tip!:headbang2

I've never had a problem with Kubotai. I always had the problems with Darios.
