is anybody familiar with this type of filtration... it is supposed to serve a biological and mechanical filtration all in one trought the upside down suspended bottle brushes...i would like to incorporate this type of filtration method in the 300L wood pond i'm busy building so that i can minimize the amount of chambers needed in a standard W/D filter system...

all opinions would be apreciated...

It doesn't work very well. I've only see it used on big koi ponds. It will only keep out leaves and branches. I would put some polyester quilt batting or something behind it. If you don't get leaves, don't bother with them as mechanical. I guess there's a bit a biological, too. If they had stiff bristles, they might be pretty good for W/D media (go with scrubbies anyway).
