bottom deweller for african tank?

hello i have a 48x15x20 mbuna tank with 12 mbuna atm i am looking to add another 4-8 mbuna. the filteraton is a rena xp2 i will add more fileration soon and was just wondering what bottom dewellers you would reccomend for this set up i want something active and colourful.

a group of syn. petricola or a group of Synodontis multipunctatus(white with black spots)

deffinitly add some syno cats they are awesome and they work great with african cichlids

syno.... thats the obvious choice.

But theres also Aethiomastacembelus elipsifer
the tanginyikan eel.... I'm not sure you might want to doublecheck if they can go with your africans but theyre from the lake. I know at least one person on here has them, might want to ask them their opinion
