Any that spring to mind?

i've had a 2 inch pleco in with my 4 2 inch RBPs for the past 3 weeks with no problems. the p's don't pay him any attention.

No, even large plecos end up as food eventually

LoL, three weeks is nothing consider these animals live YEARS!

Your best bet is a cheap doradid species like a striped or ralph cats. They are very secretive and heavily armored so they have an ok chance. I kept a 7" striped ralph cat with my shoal of mixed pygos for over a year with no problems. Still though any fish with Ps are on borrowed time!

thanks for the replies..lol
I dont think i'll bother tho, i buy cheap fish for food:D

Pleco's and Raphael's have worked very well for me.

For example

Serrasalsmus Geryi 90G - Bristlenose Pleco / 4" Royal Pleco / 2" Striped Raph
Maculipinnis + Striolatus 75 G- 8" Royal Pleco / Bristlenose
Maculipinnis 90G - 5" Common Pleco
Gibbus 75 G - 12" Common

With all that being said - 7" Striped that was in with my Geryi lasted about 24 hours in the 240G pygo tank.

Thanks for those examples...
Geryi do seem to be slightly more tolerant to others in the tank than Rhoms

I have had a lot of success with keeping red tailed black sharks with all my piranhas. assuming i don't miss a feeding.
