I have a 75g African cichlid tank, mostly all mbuna except my big EB hap. I also have 1 syndontis, he's kinda lame....never see the guy. Not sure if he's even workin the bottom, another freeloader. I would like something to work the bottom with personality...any ideas? Had a dojo loach. I woke up and he was dead, have no idea what got him...maybe the high Ph...no nibbles on him at all. He was really funny...something like him maybe?

I have a 6" Botia my cousin gave me in with a bout 30 Africans( malawi, tang.,mbuna) and a 14"Oscar, 13"&10"plecos and a 6" stone fish. That Botia is scrappy believe it or not and will chase all but the Oscar around.
How about a tire track eel or an albino Nigerian Senagalus? Rope fish?
How about A Jurupari(Geophagus)?

I have a geo, and he's great. Though, now he's only 6", he's gonna be a monster. Only have 75g tank so I am looking for a larger place to rehome him.

What about a golden CAE (chinese algae eater)? They often do fine with african cichilds.

I may do that CAE, my geo has probably found a new home. So far, not an african has touched him...In fact, they give him his space. I do worry bout the africans when they mature.

I have a trio of Synodontis Multipuntatus which are the last of my Africans left after I sold all the others and got into predatry characins. They are very active as they criuse and patrol the bottom.Whichever syno you have may be shy due to it not having others to interact with. You can't beat a nice group of them.

will try that, thanks!
